Preparation and Placement

The Boston Club is committed to increasing the number of women on corporate and nonprofit boards. We take direct action through our Board Education and Placement Programs, delivering education and mentoring to guide members in positioning themselves for success in the highly competitive landscape for board seats and to excel once in these highly sought after positions.

TBC members benefit by receiving free or discounted access to top-tier offerings in this area through our strong partnerships with colleague organizations such as the National Association of Corporate Directors - New England (NACDNE), The Leaderboard (formerly Ion), the 30% Solution, and others. Through these programs, The Boston Club has directly placed or participated in placing more than 325 women on boards in the Boston area and beyond. 

TBC is recognized for decades of leadership and advocacy for gender parity on corporate boards and executive C-suites through our annual publication of the Census of Women Directors and Executive Officers of Massachusetts Public Companies. ​​In partnership with Bentley University, we examine the latest trends in board composition and executive leadership as a means of monitoring progress toward more diverse representation.
