Lisa Prior, the founder and CEO of Prior Consulting, is a seasoned business advisor and a recognized authority in leadership development and culture change. For 20 years she has been advising and guiding organizations and leaders to bring out the best culture, strategy and leadership that creates great results.

BOARD AND COMMITTEE EXPERIENCE – Lisa Prior has served as VP/President-Elect of The Boston Club, New England’s largest organization of professional and executive women since 2020. She is dedicated to advancing The Boston Club’s vision for diverse women’s leadership in today’s complex world. Lisa also serves as Board Member on the governor-appointed Massachusetts Economic Assistance Coordinating Council, the body that oversees Massachusetts’ Economic Development Incentive Plan. She currently or previously has served as board member of STRIVE, a workforce development program of JRI; Power and Systems, a global consulting firm; Strategic Planning Committee of the City of Newton Public Schools; and advisor to the Private Industry Council. Prior Consulting was awarded “PIC Achiever” for volunteer service.

EXECUTIVE AND STRATEGIC ADVISORY EXPERTISE – For more than two decades Lisa has worked with leaders at all levels, from start-up to Fortune 100 organizations, serving the healthcare, biopharma, biomedical, academic, financial services, asset management, retail, and non-profit sectors. She is consultant to major healthcare/biomedical organizations and top universities on a range of topics crucial to their continued growth and success, including culture change, leadership and team effectiveness, organizational design, and performance enhancement. Lisa helps shape company outcomes to include improved business results, employee engagement and new approaches to face 21st century challenges. She has served as business and thought partner to executives of a biopharmaceutical company from startup through maturity, where she coached executives; facilitated scenario planning sessions; consulted on organizational redesigns from pre-IPO phase to market presence. She served as consultant and coach to one of the world’s largest hedge funds, leading efforts to change corporate culture through a variety of leadership initiatives. Previous to Prior Consulting, Lisa had a decade of experience leading strategic efforts in corporate responsibility (ESG) and human resources at international and US based banks.

Lisa is driven by a mission to help leaders and their people create win-win relationships that lead to better results for organizations, individuals and communities. Her book, Take Charge of Your VIEW: Career Advice You Won’t Get from Your Boss (2017) is being used to grow leaders in organizations such as Harvard University and Parexel. She has been quoted or featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, ABC News Radio, Forbes, and Success Magazine, among other media.

EDUCATION – Lisa graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Fairfield University and with an EdM from Boston University. She has received certifications in Intercultural Management/Global Cultures (2016, Helsinki, Finland, Hofstede Institute) and Organizational Culture Change (2014, Lisbon, Portugal, Hofstede Institute). Lisa has served as Faculty Practicum Supervisor, William James College; and as moderator and coach in executive education programs at Harvard Business School and at MIT Sloan School.
