premier community of women leaders.

Who is part of The Boston Club?

The Boston Club is New England's leading community for connecting women leaders who want to expand their professional and personal networks. We develop meaningful relationships that connect, inform, and inspire  – empowering us to achieve our goals and to further not only our own careers, but those of women everywhere.

Members “work” in different ways – full-time, consulting, transitioning, semi-retired – across all industries including:

  • Consulting
  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Finance
  • Government
  • Legal
  • Marketing/communications
  • Real estate
  • Social services
  • Sciences
  • Technology

We support our members across their lifelong journey, demonstrating impact by preparing women for service on corporate and nonprofit boards, career advancement and transitions, and by providing opportunities to make a difference on important issues affecting women today.

What is the criteria for a successful applicant?

Every woman in TBC has demonstrated accomplishment in her respective field, leadership in her community, and support for other women in big and little ways.

We recognize many paths to leadership and each applicant is evaluated holistically on her own merits:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated leadership and dedication to growth and learning. This can include advancement in professional, educational, volunteerism/community service, or other areas.
  • Advancing women’s leadership and growing networks across sectors.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.
  • Passion for our mission, values, and  activities.

If you have questions about your experience, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 781-639-8002 or Membership@TheBostonClub.com.

How can I learn more about TBC and the membership application?

You are welcome to attend one of our free, informal monthly Prospective Member online sessions, hosted by our current members and staff. Register for the date of your choice by viewing our event calendar by clicking here.

You may also view our application questions by
clicking here.

As a new member, how will I be supported?

The first year of your TBC membership is an exciting time! New members are invited to be paired with a Welcome Ambassador for personalized support jumping into TBC life – your guide for navigating the many TBC offerings and making introductions and connections to members across the community.

How do you address diversity and inclusion in the membership application process?

We are committed to the growing diversity of our membership. We respect the ways we define and shape our identities, and welcome those who identify as female across age, ethnicity, race, gender expression, ability, experience, and all the ways we define and shape our identities.

What is the membership cycle and cost?

We have a rolling application and welcoming process. Our fiscal year runs from July 1-June 30. Annual membership dues are $600 and are expected to be paid in full by June 30 before the start of each new year.

First-year dues for new members are prorated monthly, determined by the date of acceptance.

How do I proceed with the membership application process?

Interested individuals are asked to submit the online application by clicking here and pay the nonrefundable application fee of $125, which supports our operational and administrative costs. You cannot save and return to the application later. We recommend you write your answers to the application questions in a separate document, then copy and paste into the form when you are ready.

Completed applications are reviewed twice monthly, on or about the 15th and 30th of each month. Applicants can expect to be notified via email about the status of their application within three to four weeks of submitting their application.

Application sponsorship by a TBC member is no longer required, but member recommendations are always welcome!
